Wayfaster is Joining LiveKit

Wayfaster started as a winter break project from us to help software engineers ace system design interviews. Each agent response took 8 seconds and worked approximately half the time. One of our fondest memories is running around on New Years Eve 2024, trying to get anyone who had ever touched an IDE to give us feedback on the first version of the product and fixing bugs while responses failed in real time.

We’re proud to have grown that little project into the infrastructure that interviewed hundreds of thousands of people looking for their next jobs. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us, especially our customers. Thank you for trusting us early, pushing us with thoughtful feedback, and partnering with us as we built and iterated. We learned a ton working alongside you.

Since we started, voice has improved exponentially and is driving the transformation of some of the biggest legacy industries in the US, like recruiting. Along the way, Shrey and I spent a lot of time thinking about the big missing piece for widespread production use cases of voice: a reliable infrastructure platform.

We first connected with Russ a few years ago as LiveKit customers. After spending time with the LiveKit team, it became clear they will be the company that powers almost every production-level use case of voice, and they are approaching that infrastructure layer with a scary level of ambition.

To that end, we are thrilled to share that the Wayfaster is joining LiveKit! We couldn't be more excited to work with Russ and DZ to continue our goal of bringing voice to the real world

Thank you for our investors, South Park Commons and Slow Ventures for supporting us throughout the journey, we couldn't be more grateful.
